Hi. Please use this thread to inform me of any general issues with these boards, for example with the colours or functionality (whether you should be able to do something that you now cant, or you can do something that really you never used to be able to do!).

Also, please let me know about the smilies, for example where they should appear in posts and currently dont. As I get through things here, I will delete any items which are resolved.

Thanks.

Hi. Here is a summary....

Post moderation should now be turned off.

Users cannot currently select their own skin. Perhaps in the future, but at this stage it would just add to my confusions as people would need to reference the skin in any issues reported.

Many people have had a problem logging in. I assume that this is a by-product of the conversion process when the table containing the passwords was converted. Most members will need to attempt to log in, click the 'forgotten my password' link and check their email. This seems to work for the majority of cases. If it doesnt, please let me know.

PDF's are now valid attachments, along with other document types.

Avatar size is now increased to 100 x 100 (as it was in the previous forums).

I'm having problems "reactivating" my signature. Also, any chance we'll get back some of the lost emoticons?

If you go to your user control panel > board preferences > edit display options, you should then be able to activate display signatures.

If you then edit any posts you have already submitted, you can then tick the box which says turn on signatures, in order for your signature to be displayed in previously submitted posts.

I hope that helps.

I love how the "New Thread" shows up, in red on the front page, and on the actual thread containing the new posts in it.

However, after reading all the new stuff, all the topic headers are still bold, which is often an indication of new posts (such as in Warseer).

Is there a way to remove the bold font from threads that you have read?

Is it possible to set maximum image width to something like 800px?

(People can still select 'view image' if they want to see the whole kahuna)

No! NO! NO! Don't touch it, they are just fine as is. Automatic settings on pics is what happened last time and it sucked, I couldn't see anything! It became pointless painting stuff and posting anything (battlereports!!!) because I couldn't even see it properly, it was like waaaaay in the distance. PLEASE! DON'T listen to these people! They're insane!!! Guys, use your finger and scroll yah loons. ;D

A 6mm models forum with tiny pictures is a bad joke.

Would you still be against even if you could click the image to see full size?

The trouble with wide pictures is that you have to scroll just to read the text.

I know, but the trouble I had with it being auto-compressed far outweighed the extra exercise to my finger. Clicking to full size would be alright so long as the pic is large enough and not titchy. Or perhaps a gently guiding hand by members suggesting who ever posts pics way too big get them scaled down to page width size or suffer the fiery pits of syphilitic hell would suffice.

It was this step that I was missing. Thanks, Irisado. O0

One or two old topics seem to have gone a bit loopy. This one for example.

viewtopic.php?f=95&t=15384

I'm not sure how many are like it. I only found one or two when I started rooting around for old ork topics.

Is there any way to make the stickies more distinct from normal threads? They kinda run into each other right now.
