I was writing a Battle Report last night and kept scrolling up and down the text box as I was doing so, copying this and that, but any time my mouse would hover over the box, it seemed that my cursor kept shooting to the top of the text box. This made writing and editing it a little tricky.

If you're using Internet Explorer, that could be a compatibility issue. Try running IE in compatibility mode for this forum, and see if that fixes this problem.

Interesting. I WAS using IE, only because I wrote the report while at work.

I do not know this Compatability Mode you speak of. I will delve into the settings :)

There's a button that pops up in between that address bar and the refresh button...

If you are using IE8, you will find the compatibility settings in the tools menu. For IE7, there is a button where Spectrar Ghost suggested.

My Avatar has been erased. When I try to edit my Avatar I can't load a picture to it.

Check the size of the avatar you are looking to upload. If it's over seven or eight KB, it's too large for the new forum. If this is okay, you will also need to look at the dimensions, as they are also restricted.

If neither of those are the problem, then I'm stumped, so Cybershadow will have to come to the rescue.

The TOTAL WAR: Hold at Any Costs thread in Epic: Armageddon seems to be eating responses...

A few threads have had this problem. I would suggest that a new thread is started, with a link to the mangled thread.

The problem is that there's an html comment that isn't closed properly. There's a bit that goes <!--QuoteBegin> and presumably should be <!--QuoteBegin-->. Consequently a huge chunk of the rest of the page gets commented out. I'm guessing it got mashed up somewhere in the forum conversion.

Editing the post in which everything goes wrong should fix it. The comment might not actually appear in the edit box for the post, in which case I would expect just clicking 'submit' without making any changes would remove the problem. Since the edit button appears after the post (and so after the malformed comment) you'd have to enter the url to edit the post by hand, but that isn't too hard (for the 'TOTAL WAR: Hold at Any Cost' thread it's http://www.tacticalwargames.net/taccmd/posting.php?mode=edit&f=4&p=287103).

(Also, fixing page 4 of this thread would require this edit link: http://www.tacticalwargames.net/taccmd/posting.php?mode=edit&f=7&p=290662.)

I'm seeing responses in that thread with no problem... or has it already been corrected?

I'm seeing topics where people are referring to pictures. However, I'm unable to see the pictures in any of the posts. I've looked for a toggle to fix the situation but, am not finding it. Can anyone help me out??

The pics are probably from before the Great Software Switch of '10, and have been lost in the transition. If the posts are dated before March of this year, they're gone unless the poster fixes them or specifically asks CS to retrieve them, IIRC.

Speaking to people at Open War several were unaware that the board were back up as they just went through favourites etc and found a message saying - Sorry the boards are offline .... and didn't scroll down to the link to the new address. I wonder if this is contributing to how quiet the boards are?

Would it be possible to get the page changed - either to redirect or just the message changed?

I want to post a table looking thing, padded with whitespace. On the prior board, I got everything able to line up nicely by using a Courier font.

On this new board, the courier font is doable, but the board seems to be 'eating' my whitespace. Any general advice on how to make a table?
