Why do the Hellbore, Moles and Termites, which did have a Firepower rating in Epic40k, not have any weaponry at all in Epic A? I'm just asking, because it makes my Hellbore and Moles kinda useless in Epic A, and that sucks. ![]() my 2cents, iblisdrax |

At a guess because they dont have any weaponry (that I can remember) sculpted onthe model - Its WYSIWYG. As I recall, it was the trasporters & not the tunneler itself in most cases that got the firepower originally anyway wasnt it? ![]() |

I brought up this problem with Jervis on the official playtest boards, and he said the same as Tuff, they don't have weapons on them, so they have no firepower. I was annoyed at this, as I have two hellbores myself! The main purpose of them now is just to be used as another kind of troop transport. Cheers Chris |

Rrrr...that is annoying. Especially in the case of the Moles, who have to stay attached to the formation that they transport. hmmm, maybe the weapons are in turrets that pop up after the mole surfaces? I'm going to think on this. my 2cents, iblisdrax |

You could always just model some on and use the WYSIWYG rule... ![]() |

Hi! Tunnelers are supposed to establish "beachheads" and centers of resistance. Pretty useless if they dont have armament. Primarch |

Per jervis, the original design (SM-era) was that none of the tunnellers would have any sort of weaponry, as all their internal space went to tunneling gear and cargo room. They were badgered by the marketting guys into adding weapon stats on the grounds that no one would buy models that did not have weaponry. So, they made up weapon stats even though the models had none and the designers didn't like the concept. Since they are OOP and JJ was making fun-stats only, he went back to the original concept that they were merely underground versions of drop pods. |

All SM1 Drop Pods had weapons too ... I see the designer vs. marketing conumdrum. We however, still play that all tunnellers and drop pods have weapons ... go figure ! ![]() |

Hi! Drop pods STILL have weapons under net epic. There are troops transports, plasma cannon support and lethal "deathwind" missiles to clear landing zones. Primarch |

Whose to say that the post surfacing operation doesnt reveal fold down weapon turrets, exactly as drop pods do when they deploy? Just because the model doesnt depict it in that way... I would assume that they would at least have a small close in defence turret |

Well I don't know if the Moles or Termites would have anything, maybe a defensive bolter on a Mole, but the Hellbore should have some kind of heavy weapon, besides its defensive turrets. I mean, its a War Engine, for crying out loud! Any suggestions as to what those weapons and stats should be? my 2cents, iblisdrax |

I envisage a number of close range, high rate of fire weapons for defence of the immediate area and to cover troops deploying from the tunneler. Like Assault Cannons, Gattling lasers & Heavy Flamers. Similar to the IG's Storm Hammer Superheavy Tank |
