Just wondering what you guys are going to do with all those extra Ork figures on the sprue that wont now get used for EpicA? For instance the Shokk attack gun (I know it could be a big gun, but that would look crappy) the Pain boss, the Bigmek (could be put onto the soopa gunz I guess), the Weird boy etc. Also, what about the other sprues? Are there any obsolete figures on the Imperials and marines? I can't think of any. |

There are no "obsolete" figures on the IG or Sm sprue, unless you count the Techmarine and Apothcary etc. I think this has happened with the Orks because much of the Ork armoury has been "streemlined" to make a more managable force. They did end up with LOADS of different vehicles! Cheers Chris |

Jervis made a list of what counts as what in the Ork army. For example, the Boarboyz are used as Warbikes and so on... You might want to read this list. |

Conversions, conversions, conversions, baby! ![]() On the Big Gunz, I think the shokk attakks look fine mixed in with hop splats and such. |

Wasn't thre talks about "editing" the sprues...so you would get more of the useful plastics (rank & file) and less of the things that never is used (traktor kannon)? Or am I just making things up? |

Also weirdboyz are a character upgrade for Feral Orks, so keep them aside if you plan to make a feral Ork army later ![]() |

Just because Jervis doesn't include something in the E:A rules, does not mean you have to drop it from your forces ... we are going to use the Medic, Tech, Lib. etc., etc., as in SM2. Come on Guys, don't be such lemmings, blindly following everything that Big Bro Jervis says ... he has always advocated, as I do, to do what works for you and your gaming clan ! He mentioned that in every iteration of Epic ... I read it and think it's a good idea. And don't use that Tournament Rule poo as an excuse ... how often do you play in a Tournament ! ![]() |

Legion, I thought thats what people were discussing in this therad, they _are_ using them for what they want to do, just kicking round ideas of what things they would make good models for. |

>> Wasn't thre talks about "editing" the sprues...so you would get more of the useful plastics (rank & file) and less of the things that never is used (traktor kannon)? Yep. We're talking about the old sprues, not the EA versions. |

Yes, I guess I didn't make it clear ... I'm all for what you all are talking about. I was just making the point as I always do ... "to do what works for you" ... I can be very redundant ... redundant ... ![]() ![]() |

Hi! Why not just MAKE your own rules for whatever models on the sprue epicA didn't make rules for? I think it would be fun just trying out to see if your rules creation works. If there no shokk attack gun rules, make them, I dont think it would be too hard. Primarch |

Yes I was after ideas for what you guys were going to use them as. Remember, I haven't played SM or netepic etc, so am not familiar with what rules have been used in the past. And even in Epic40K, I never had anything to do with Orks. (I was a pansy worshipper) So, what would you guys think for rules? I've had a little think. Painboyz could give the ability of invulnerable to a stand, representing them healing wounds. Shokk attack gunz (I dont know what they did before) could have the ability of disrupt. |

Hi! The equivalent effect of this unnit in later rules would be that of "disruption". So whatever effects you give it along those lines would be in keeping with what the model used to do. For general information, the shokk attack gun, in the old days, opens a limited warp gate to where frenzied snotlings frazzled by their short warp trip immediately come out the other side and atack whatever is there. It was translated in close combat with bonuses for addtional attackers if any. If you where lucky the targeted unit would be destroyed because the warp gate open up "inside" the target, with very nasty results. Primarch |

He he, that sounds good fun. I know Jervis had to abstract a little for the Orks, but surely it wouldn't have been hard to have a painboy as an upgrade 0-1 giving invulnerable to the Nobz/warlord stand. And so on for Weirdboyz etc. |
