Okay. This question came up in one of our last games. Can a unit with Indirect Fire as its only special choose to fire that weapon directly? Ie, can a whirlwind formation shoot 4bp at a target that it has line of sight on? Or is it forced to take sustain orders and fire indirectly? Because this essentially means that if it fails activation, it cannot fire at all. ![]() ib |

Hi there, My friends and I have the problems on the Indirect Fire too. In the rules 2.2.6 In addition, no line of fire is required for indirect fire, as it is assumed that the attack is fired high in the air so that the shots rain down on the target and ignore any intervening terrain. Co-ordinates for the attack are provided by ‘spotters’ that are either in other friendly formations that do have a line of fire, or from orbiting spy satellites or planes. Is that mean we need the 'spotters' such as the line of fire from the friendly formation when using indirect fire?? |

No need for you to have 'spotters', the game assumes that the 'spotters' are out there somewhere, but they aren't actually represented in the game. |
