Oh, and for a better, simpler WBB rule, please check out on the Playtester's forum in "Fan rules & lists"

Greetings
This is my first post on these forums so please don't be too harsh.
The last time I played EPIC was over 10 years ago when it was in the guise of Space Marine (second eddition) although I do still have my Adeptus Titanicus (first eddition).
I got back into GW wargaming a couple of years ago primarily WFB and Mordheim but also 40K. Having been to Gamesday and spent some time at the Fanatic stand I'm quite interested in getting back into EPIC and have started repainting a couple of my old Titans.
My question is this how easy will it to be for me to pick up the new rule book and get playing? Does it differ much from the eddition I'm used to? I seem to have missed the last incarnation of EPIC so I know I'll be a little out of date but by how much?
I used to play Squats but I realise that they no longer exist in the 40K universe but will I be able to use them or is it a completely new army for me? If so I'll probably go for tyranids as that's what I play in 40K and I really like the Forge World Harridan (so much so I bought one)
Sorry for the barrage of questions but I new
Cheers
Vogon

My question is this how easy will it to be for me to pick up the new rule book and get playing? | Well the rulebook should be out Feb 2004, but in the meantime you can download the rules from here

Well the first thing to say is that there are plenty of people out there who are still playing SM 2nd Edition and the internet variant, netepic. Epic Armageddon is different, but will have elements of SM in it. The question you should be asking is do I want lots of detail and lots of flavour for every unit in my game, or do you want less detail and a more strategic game.
I seem to have missed the last incarnation of EPIC so I know I'll be a little out of date but by how much?
not much and it isn't going to take much to get up to speed

Well you may find a Squat list on the EA Yahoo group and there may be a Demiurg (sp?) list (which will be the new Squats).
Hope that helps
Some, but not too much.

It's not too bad, It's do-able.
