Making superheavies slightly bigger is fine imo- the problem was that the old vehicles were simply too small- the land raiders in particular looked like it would be a squash for 10 Terminators in each one! I love the new bigger FW IG superheavies... and as they are cheaper than the GW metals.. hehe, well, you know which I'll be buying..
Oh, and its just my luck to not have been able to check the pic of the day when the Scorpion was up- anyone got the adress saved?

Hi!
The older models are true 6mm scale, the newer ones through the years are 7-8mm and now they are pretty much flirting with 10mm.
As long as its only the real big models getting enlarged its okay.

I think scale increase has been present in a lot of GW stuff. I'd compare some Eldar from the 90s to present Eldar, but then I no longer have either. Oddly enough, the LotR figs moved up a little bit.

It always makes me laugh when people say that the scale of a ficticious tank has increased from 6mm. How do you know?
The scale is the same, the minis are bigger, this is true, but they are still 6mm, just bigger vehicles.
Personally, I really like the larger minis. I dont want things to get out of hand, but I want some semblance of scale in the minis, as I believe that it is an important part of wargames.

Hi!
CS, 40k are really all that ficticious or "original". A land raider is just a british WWI tank and a leman russ a larger version of the french renault, so comparing them with 6mm of those makes these models pretty big.
If thats too "apples and oranges" compare to battletechs line which is 7-8 mm and you'll find epic vehicles that size of greater.
Epic infantry however, still remains at a 6mm scale.

JUST GOT THE F/W NL ! ?New 40K Eldar Scorpion II is out (preorder) and will be released in Epic scale sometime in the future (?), by S/G in metal. And it looks a lot like the Epic scale one we saw on the S/G site ! ? Very interesting ...

Hi guys, waiting for my plane at the moment, so thought I?d check out what I?ve missed to waste a few minutes ? You've been busy as usual I see!
Anyway, back in topic; Will hayes is the man behind the new Epic Super heavies which are being produced by the SG team. As we well know, he is also the man behind a lot of the 40K scale stuff to be produced by FW. Thus he is making 40K scale versions of all the new tanks at the same time that he makes the 6mm ones (The 40K versions to be made in resin by FW). They should be pretty much dead on representations of each other seeing as he can adjust them both according to how things look in either scale. So no worries about hundreds of different Mks of Eldar vehicles

Hi!
I wonder what other chaos models they'll make, the talon is the first one. Some chaos titan variants would be nice.

Some Chaos tanks too, and other vehicles that look useable instead of festooned with decorations from some Hallowe'en party.
As for the Scorpion, I can't say I'm a big fan of it... it just seems a little oddball. Why the cuts into the curves? They're starting to look just a tiny bit like scythes, and that's not cool, IMHO.
Time to stcok up on the older SHTs, maybe in exchange for the cheesey looking Chaos engines I have.

Hi all, for any Blood Angels guys out there, a list has been posted on Specialist Games' website - new units include Death Co. (naturally!), Death Co. with jump packs, the Baal Predator and the Furioso Dreadnought.
