I can't remember seeing this posted previously so I'll just post it here for convenience:

The Epic Archive section of the US online store has been deleted and replacet with an E:A section. It says that Epic will become available again in the US by mid-May.

Cheers!

That's what the Troll told me yesterday ... E:A in May.  So I'm betting June-August ... based on G/W's past release prophesies ... :;):

Does anyone know if Jervis is going to put the revised pop-up rules into effect? Has there been a settle on which version to adopt as the new rule?

This is my number one gripe about epic. On terrain LOS blocking heavy tables. Things like Eldar gain significant advantages.

Just curious.

Thanks,

You are not the only one wondering about this:

http://www.specialist-games.com/forum/t ... PIC_ID=167

My group currently uses the version posted by Zak/Pixelgeek:

"A skimmer may pop-up to shoot -over- blocking terrain.

If the target is closer to the terrain piece than the skimmer then no LOS exists , thus the target may not be fired on.

If the skimmer is closer, or both are equidistant from the terrain piece, then there is a LOS.

Popping up in no way effects the distance that can be seen -into- a terrain piece."

As far as I know, that is intended to be the version put forward for testing.

The best answer could be provided by Greg Lane.  He's the Rules Review Champion.  I know he was working on a consolidated Experimental Rules/EA v.2 post for the vault, but he has had some significant real life issues.

He has begun to post just a bit recently, so perhaps it's time to nudge him a bit towards getting that vault-ready.

I wish him god speed to that revision... and any nudging you or others can throw his way.

Tactica:  You can always email him.  He's not exctly insulated from the public.  His profile is on the specialist games forum under GJLane.  I think he uses the same name on here.  Also, Epicenter is the Memphis-based Epic website and you can probably reach him through there.

Looks like there needs to be a little more work on the "official" version of the rules ... We used a modified version of the SM2 rule and it work for us ...  :D

NH,

I'll drop him (GJLANE) a line. I don't know that lil'ol me is going to really motivate him one way or the other, but I'll at least let him know his work is much anticipated from at least one individual out here.
