Hi!  does anyone know which version of Eldar Titans will be sold by GW when Epic Eldar are re-released later this year?

Will it be the old spindly Mk1's or the newer more robust Mk 2's?

I heard somewhere that master moulds for Eldar titans had got damaged. Amyone know which ones? Or was that a false rumour?

Cheers

James

I thought JJ said that the first edition phantoms/warlocks were being re-released, and that the revenant was going to be a resculpt based more closely on the original model.
???

Yeah... I have to admit I don't love the e40k phantom... I gave mine two D-cannons and painted all the raised ridges a different colour to try and break up the simple green scheme the GW staff painted theirs. ?

I've seen one conversion of the e40k phantom on the net, where it was given a really active pose and it looked really good... too much chopping and reassembly for me tho ?:D ?In the time it takes to do an extensive conversion I could have painted another 2 units!!

Hi!

The parts for the phantom though made great proxies for a necron titan. Especially the torso that looks skeletal.

I really need to get a picture of it for you guys....

Well, I think a new Eldar Titan would be something to look forward to.  But I imagine it will be years before we see anything ... hope I live that long ! :{

Hi

I must be in the mminority then. As I prefer the Epic 40k era Eladr Titan to the earlier ones. The AT era Eldar titans were just too spindly to be war machines IMO.

If anyone has any of the newer ones I am sure I can find them a good home!!
:D

Am intrigued by the prospect of new Eldar super heavies/titans. Carl- are we likely to be surprised good or surprised bad???

Cheers

James

Well, it's subjective and I am sure some will find something to complain about, no news flash there, but 'I' was personally bowled over by the complete re-designs.

I would say 'surprised good'. They are quite a departure from their previous looks, but you will just have to wait and judge for yourselves as I am sure tastes vary.

For obvious reasons I'm not going to go into any details, so please don't ask. All I will say is Jez did the detailed concepts and a great deal of thought has gone into them.

Regards
Carl

Without giving away any confidential details would you say they reminded you more of the AT era Mk1 Eldar titans or the E40k era Mk2 ones?

Or are they a completely different look?

Cheers

James
