Hi,

I'm a new spanish EA player that has discovered this great game recently. I have convinced a few friends to start playing, but the problems finding miniatures, and the trouble of starting with a new game have led me to the idea of using cardboard proxies.

I've been working on these proxies for some weeks, and I think they are a cheap and compact way of starting with the game. In addition, you have all the stats in every counter, something that is very useful for novel players like me!

So far I have done most units for Space Marines, Tyranids, Imperial Guard, Necrons, Tau, Black Legion, and dark eldar.

I'm making some pieces of pvc canvas scenery as well, to add a cohesive feel to the table:

I know it's not like the real thing, but for me is as satisfying as painting minis, and very portable ;-). I think it could be great to share.

Regards.

Hola!

Thoose counters looks great! Did you design them yourself? If so you're very talented! Please keep on producing theese because they could be handy if someone wants to try out the game! If it's possible i would love to get a hold of all the armies and print them out.

Nos vemos, adios!

Hi!

Thanks for the kind words. Yes, I´ve done all the illustrations. I´m still translating the rest of the armies (I made them first in spanish, as my group prefer it this way), but here you can see the tokens as they are now.

Sorry for the external hosting, I´ve changed the image container to imgur, to see if it works:

For printing, I arrange the tokens in groups, in three or four different A4 Sheets, to get as many units as I can in each piece of paper. I usually print them in adhesive paper, and fix them to 2mm cardboard.

These are really stunning.

I know people who have done similar things for Warmaster - since that is a sibling game of Epic that is hard to get a lot of models for.

Will you translate them? and will there be more?

edit: zoomed out in the browser so i could see you answer on top of the pictures :)

Know the manowar forum have printable proxies for all armies, could be nice to have the same here for testing a new army before buying.

Thanks for the compliments :D. Its great to see that you like them. I still enjoy making the tokens, so I keep making more of them. Next in the queue are the Orks ;-)...

I hope to have them translated in a few days. I will upload printable PDFs (with multiple copies of each unit per page) so it can be easier to print an army (4 or 5 pages is enough to have a quite big army).

Bye!
