Hi, Not sure if this is the right part of the forum. My gaming group is going to be embarking on a Horus Heresy campaign for the Siege of Terra. I am going to be using White Scars. Does anyone know if there is likely to be any updates to the Heresy lists on the EpicAu site? |

Hmm.. I've been looking at the site over the past couple of years and haven't noticed any major updates. I don't know how well balanced they are in comparison to the other general lists and if tournaments generally allow them to be used? (Although guess that would only matter if you wanted to attend one). Perhaps someone else could answer that one. |

Tournaments do not allow them as they're designed as fluff battle between other heresy style lists. You probably won't see a major release again until Forgewrold do another large release..... like fires of firaxis or the titanicus (Titan death) release |

Wasn't the original plan to release a finalized supplement over the various sections of the heresy though as FW progressed? For instance the work was being done on Betrayal at Istvaan or some such as a title. Or did FatDex, You, et.al. decide to forgo that approach and it's just a living set of lists and not so much a supplement anymore? |

I don't mean for tournaments but wanted to use some legions vs. orks for Great Crusade games (in friendly/narrative setting). |

I reckon you'd have some great games with heresy marines vs orks. - something I too have wanted to try. The heresy astartes list play quite differently to codex astartes. Main differences are that formations tend to be bigger and because tacticals don't have a ranged option (without upgrades), big firefights happen a lot. One thing that would help the Orks out is that the heresy astartes' rule counterpart to ATSKNF doesn't halve the difference in combat resolution when calculating hack down kills. Give it a go! |

I think they are working ok again. I have been painting up my White Scars so will just use the standard legion list for 30k Then give th experimental White Scars list a go for standard epic. |
