Hi all,

So was speaking to John Cole and a couple of his friends last night and we have the idea of putting a Scotland team together with the aims to compete in the UK and EU.

Also to promote the hobby in Scotland and further afield by having regular competitions/tourneys and maybe some local derby's down the line.

If you are interested in becoming a part of a new adventure and want to contribute by gaming with us then get in touch on here or the new FB page as we develop things.

Well 50% of the UK team last year was Scottish so if we can get 2 more players that would be awesome! That said given the Scottish meta developed the thunderfcuk list do you really want more of us at the EEC? :-)

Will watch this thread with interest. I am based outside Aberdeen, and my main opponent stays in Aberdeen itself. He joined the Facebook page so will keep me up to date. We may attend anything you have on the go!

Where are the Scottish players based?

Nice meeting Dave, and kudos for starting the thread (as explained, I won't be joining Facebook as 1. my colleagues are all over my facebook, 2. the internet believes me to be a pert 19 year old female model).

The Uk tournament scene seems dominated by Epic UK, which is far from a bad thing, as there are great, balanced, simple to follow lists, and the tournaments are really good learning places.
I was worried to go to my first tournament (the last time I had played was some 15 years ago (I was a four-year-old pert female model), but it was a great experience. Sure, there wasn't enough booze, and everyone was better at the game, but since then I have really improved and brought more booze.

The North (of England) and Scotland (North of UK) really struggles at times as so many games are in Southern England. So it would be great to have games and tournaments up here. We had a good time with Glasgow tourney last year, and if we can catch more interest that would be brilliant.
Even in more remote areas, we can arrange games, e.g three from Glasgow vs three from Aberdeen (local clashes) to catch up and promote the game. For those of us whom have travlelled to Exter and Denmark, these are easy commutes. :)
