The latest version, 0.8.6 of the Horus Heresy Supplement is available for play testing! The lists have had a significant overhaul since 0.8.3 with major changes to line detachments, allies and the release of the initial Primarchs unit data. Initially, to assess and refine the Primarchs we have confined them to operating with standard line detachments and left their base points cost the same. This is to enable us to verify the Primarch unit data and ensure it best reflects the Primarch's skills. It also enables us to modify the baseline cost of against a known quantity. Along with the continued work to refine the existing units across the list our the next step is to create the legion unique units. From there more work on the Adeptus Mechanicus and Solar Auxilia lists will occur. There are two files available this release, with the Legion Army List found at http://www.epicau.com/heresylists/0.8.6_Legion_Astartes_Army_List.pdf and the Legion Reference List located at http://www.epicau.com/heresylists/0.8.6_Legion_Astartes_Reference_List.pdf. We hope to hear your feedback as we continue to work on developing the Horus Heresy Supplement for Net Epic Armageddon. |

The Sicaran Venator is indeed an option, the main weapon system effectiveness has been reduced due to playtesting data since 0.8.5. |

Not sure where else to put this, but I tried registering for the EpicAU forums and I'm still waiting to be authorized. Can anyone get in contact with the EpicAU forum admins? Thanks! |

@Rastamaan, yep same cost, for now. @onthelam, I would recommend that in future when you have issues with a site, any site, you should try e-mailing the administrator of the site using the details posted all over the site. I know you didn't try e-mailing admin@epicAU.com Your account was activated the day after you requested it. |

Announcing the creation of the two new lists: Daemonic Hordes (based on the list curated by novemberrain) Daemonic Hordes Reference List Imperial Militia Imperial Militia Reference List The Imperial Militia is customisable to represent a vast number of rabble militia, planetary guard, feral auxiliary forces or traitor cults, and the Daemonic Hordes list can be used as allies to traitor legions or militia, or as a force by itself. Please leave any list feedback in the relevant threads on EpicAU Daemonic Hordes thread Imperial Militia thread |

How important is artillery in a setting that's more likely to involve power armor on both sides? Are Rapier quad mortars a suitable alternative to artillery batteries (Whirlwinds or Basilisks, mostly)? Not against hordes, I guess, but six shots vs BP4 doesn't sound bad at all. I haven't quite figured artillery out in E:A, especially with marines and against tank-heavy armies, so I'm tempted to minimize how much I take. Or just take a trio of Typhons because they seem to be quite powerful once you get them in range. What am I missing? |

Artillery remains great as setting up blast markers on a unit to prep for assault, it does not have the same devastating effect on a unit or in clearing out broken units on astartes, unless it also has disrupt. The quad mortars are fantastic at the bm prep role and even medium av / lv hunting. I have had far more instances where i have used my basilisks for direct fire AT shots than barrages! They are gold for that option. Of course there are taghmata, solar auxilia, imperial militia and daemonic hordes in the mix that can also be conventionally smashed by artillery. |

http://epicau.com/mw/index.php/Epic_Bat ... f_Darkness We have started to enter missions based on legendary battles from the forgeworld horus heresy series of books. The missions also describe how to play with armies other than the 'historical belligerents' too, so y'all others can play them too. |
