Post subject:  TK vs WE with an invulnerable save

Hi

It's not totally clear but I assume if you hit an invulnerable save equipped WE with a TK(D?), (e.g. a necron pylon (DC2) or an avatar (DC3) with a deathstrike missile and roll a 5 for damage) it only has to roll as many invulnerable saves as the no. of hits it can sustain (e.g. 2 or 3 in these examples and not 5)?

Thanks

Nope, 1 for each hit (5).

Thanks Dave, I assumed otherwise because non-WE only roll once. Therefore a WE may be at a slight disadvantage in some situations compared to an AV. I was thinking about shooting monoliths (AV) or pylons (DC2) with deathstrikes in the epicUK army list. Monoliths look tougher based on that rule.

Ya, Monoliths would only need a 4+ save to live. A Pylon would have to make one for every point of damage from the TK.

I thought NetEA living metal reduced all TK to TK(1)? Or has that been changed?

That's what's currently approved, but the 2015 playtest list drops that:

But he specifically asked about the UK list.
