Post subject:  Figures for IG conscripts or penal legion?
Can anyone suggest some 6mm figures I could use for IG conscripts or penal legion other than Catachans? Ideally they would have no helmets or armor, a motley assortment of weapons, and maybe even ragged clothing.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Baccus historical 6mm have some interesting options to try. I'm thinking the Zulu rifles could do the trick

Another great option is the Solar Empire Marines militia line. Unfortunately they don't have a picture on the website but L4 will be along shortly and has pictures handy I'm sure. They're pretty irregular troops so that could work, perhaps with a few civilians and some of Angel Barracks junker insurgents?

No Need for SEM pics, at this time. I believe with DRM and Angel Barracks you should fined a good selection, for a Penal Bn unit ...

Haven't seem them in person, but they're easier to find as opposed to the E40k plastic Catachans.

Someone here might have them (Apoc?) and send that the detail was soft. Not sure if I'm just remembering a passing comment though.

The metal Trollz uses is quite soft and greasy, but the detail still beats what you'd find on plastic figures and on the infantry it isn't bad at all - I only feel it's soft on the vehicles.

If you're getting the exodus wars ones get them directly from the company, not from steelcrown. Every order I make with them takes forever and the most recent one is the longest yet..... Its a painful wait.

Ahhh.... Thats a bummer. Hopefully they deliver their own stuff quicker than from third parties.
