G'day guys Last weekend saw my club run our first epic tournament. The weekend was heaps of fun and we had 16 players take the field to compete for the the title. James Wallace won the event with his Biel-Tan, sharing the podium was Aaron Callister in 2nd and Lucas Connolly in 3rd. Mat Hinks won best army and best newcomer went to Ben Tranter sporting only 2 prior games of epic. We had some wonderful sponsors for the event: Idesigns Onslaught Steel Crown Pyrkol James Rossillion's space elf bunkers Membrane The main aim of the event was to grow epic at a local and national level. Many of the players had only just finished painting their first epic forces for the event and many of the tables you'll see we're used for the first time on the weekend. We also made up Epic intro flyers based on Mat Shadowlords 3++ article with 80 handed out to "presold" gamers. Mic, Nice cross post mate, it was an excellent weekend and certainly went a way to growing Epic Down Under. We are up to three east coast and one west coast tournament now. We are looking for 30 players at CANCON in Jan next year. Stay tuned for a post on that one. Cheers Aaron |

Cheers guys, I am certainly thinking I would like to run Castle Assault again next year. However I am now gearing myself up for Cancon next January, as Cal mentioned. Onyx I certainly hope to see you and the West Australian guys there. Cheers Mic |
