this came up in yesterday´s game, and was hoping you guy´s could help Imagine a thunderhawk loaded with 2 devastator units does an air assault: - on the way in it gets fired upon by AA (no effect) and gets a blast marker - after landing and disembarking suffers fire from an overwatch formation (with no effect/casualties as well) - then proceed to fight and win an assault without any casualties, so gets no blast markers During the Air Assault all 3 formations are counted as one, and after the assault they split up, so the question is: - What formation gets the first blast marker caused by AA - What formation gets the second Blast marker for being fired upon by an overwatch formation ![]() |

If no actual hits are scored, then I would suggest that whichever of the 3 formations that was nearest to the Overwatch attacker would receive the blast marker. If it's all too close to call, the Thunderhawk player would allocate the blast marker. |

Agreed Onyx - this has come up in the distant past. Essentially the transport and contents are a single formation so all hits are allocated across the "formation" front to back as usual. The BM for being shot at is placed on the formation with the unit nearest the firers. I do not recollect the answer for two formations that tie, but letting the owning player choose seems to follow the E:A principles. |
