Hi all! New to the forum and just starting out with an Imperial Guard army. It just so happens that all the artillery I have are bombards and manticores, and to form a full company I would need to blend the two. This seems to be acceptable, but I'm not quite sure how to work out the shooting... Assuming the whole company opened fire on something at once.... -Would the whole 3 template attack get Disrupt (manticore) AND Ignore Cover (bombard) ![]() -Would I need to work out the BP of each type separately? This might lead to extra templates and seems wrong. Let me know what you guys think, thanks! |

A mixed barrage does not have the special abilities at all. Barrage only gets special effects (eg Disrupt or Macro or Ignore Cover) if all weapons contributing barrage points have that effect. That being said, you can choose to only contribute with the Manticores or Bombards and then take special ability. Take a look at the compendium, FAQ 50, 2.2.2 Disrupt, p35 http://www.net-armageddon.org/ to acquire the documents Strategic note: I'd probably leverage 2 detachments of artillery as opposed to a single Artillery company. There's a whole discussion on the why buried a few pages in here. |
