Got a bargain SM2 box set off of eBay. I will confess that my idea was to use the models to make up bulk in a couple of armies. I already have the SM army sorted but want to use the eldar and ork units to make a small (2-3k) army for eldar and orks. Any ideas on what other units I should look to getting? Or can you just paint the eldar and ork stands in certain ways to represent other units in the "counts as" rule (would never use them in tournaments) |

Well if I understand you correctly, those actually are SM1 sprues, still used in SM2. The back of The Epic A book does have a "count as" list in the back ... However, I use those as are Ork Boyz & Battlewagons and Eldar Guardians & Falcons. You could(should) get the other sprues that have more a variety of figures. The Ork sprue came out towards the end of the SM1 era. And the Eldar sprue with SM2 ... Is this the Orks you are talking about ? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Warhammer-Epic- ... 392wt_1174 And these Eldar ? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Warhammer-Epic- ... 392wt_1174 These Orks came out at the end of SM1 and SM2 + some of the Characters were added to the sprue for E40K ... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ork-Warband-for ... 291wt_1174 And this is the box set with other Eldar Infantry types - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Warhammer-40K-E ... 190wt_1174 And Here - http://twilight40k.blogspot.com/2011/07 ... t-box.html This sprue Eldar sprue came out with SM2 and includes Eldar Hvy Wpns ... http://www.craftworldgames.co.uk/?p=pro ... 1211216139 And Note: there are 3 different Eldar Guardian type ... you can see them on the different sprues ... As is there 2 different Ork Boy type, seen on the sprues ... |

No no that's not what I meant. I meant for making a decent army what else should I get? |

Orks could be easy-ish to do as you can kitbash almost everything! I would suggest lots of bikes, buggies and skorchas, I have some plastic gunwagons that are surplus to requirements.....40k killa kanz make good gargant/supa stompa proxies.... The defeat in detail kickstarter will probably net you a good deal of what you need for orks.... Eldar are more problematic, I would suggest wave serpents, firestorms, aspect warriors, vampires, night/void spinners, and maybe some revenants kitbashed from 40k wraithguard/aspect warriors.....BrokenBayonet has some good ideas for eldar on the cheap, check out his thread |

Berkut666 wrote: No no that's not what I meant. I meant for making a decent army what else should I get? It's probably easier to post each army list separately in the Tactics and Army Lists board. It's much easier to help to answer these sorts of questions when there are lists to view, and to assess. |
