In one of the couple of games of EpicA I played today my opponent's Shadowsword had two blast markers and failed his activation (Connor had no supreme and terrible luck with his initiative tests during the game. We weren't sure if he broke and withdrew immediately or if he got to shoot with a -1 as normal when failing and activation and then got the blast marker and withdrew. We rolled a dice for it (he got to fire) but am wondering if we did it right or not? |

Afraid the unit breaks straight away Glyn; that's anothe one of my 'special' moves that tends to utterly destroy my best laid plans! It's most frustrating when you're 1BM away from breaking, so decide to marshall the formation, and then break yourself! |

Thanks! I suspected that might have the case, but wasn't really sure and we rolled to save time. I felt sorry for him when it happened as he had very bad luck with his initiative (he had no supreme commander and his tank company failed their first two activations). Good game though, it's pleasing to see more and more Brisbane players getting into playing epic ![]() |

Who did you play Glyn? Whereabout in Brisbane are you? I lived in Moorooka and hung out a lot in West End :-) Just looking at a map of the city now and feeling all listless! Go cycle up Mt Cootha and get yourself a bottle of Dr Reds Wine. Also, somewhere up there there's a cafe claiming to have the worlds best devonshire cream teas! Send us an email when you can :-), I'm cycling italy next year, west america after that. Come back to Bristol soon, come visit my brand new bike cafe: www.rollforthesoul.org. Love, Ryan |
