I recall going back a spell that units within 15cm of an enemy formation count toward fire suppression. In other words, if you have an IG formation with 10 infantry units and 5 Chimeras and the formation has 7 blast markers, you can move it within 15cm of an enemy formation and allocate the BMs to seven infantry units, leaving 3 units (2 shots) and 5 Chimeras (all of theirs). Am I remembering this wrong? If I am right, where the heck is it?

Yeah I reckon as you're thinking of Rhinos to take suppression so that you can fire your Tactical or Devastator Marines' ranged weapons? |

It was a bad example. Replace that with Guardians and Wave Serpents. Yes, the small arms counting as suppression. Where the heck is that written down. Nobody believed me this weekend. |

I'll go through it again. Maybe I missed it with everybody badgering me at once. That and it made me sound like a whiny biatch. I just let it go for the game, but I'd like to have it for future reference. |

From the Official FAQ (page 3). Quote: Q: Can a unit without ranged weapons (something with only FF or even lacking that like an Ork Wildboy) be suppressed when a formation fires? A: In order to be suppressed a unit must have a line of fire and be in range. This means that units within small arms range (15cm) may be suppressed (even though they cannot shoot), but the Wildboy could not be. and Quote: Q: Can units armed only with Small Arms that are within range of the enemy be chosen as unit to be suppressed by Blast Markers? A: Yes. |
