I caved in.... All of the BFG stuff that I wanted is now sold out, which bugs me (although its my own fault for hesitating), but I got a couple of packs of Tau AX-1-0. Thats all I really need that is still available, although I came very close to grabbing a couple of sets of Warhounds just because they are cool minis and I couldnt believe that they were still in stock.

FW is looking extremely bare of Epic and BFG stuff by now.

Doh.. seems I've been living under a rock, I just woke up to these posts today. I wanted a FW thunderhawk or two but I guess that idea is dead now..

**Sob**... why me.. WHY ME!!

Bring on the non-GW space capable flying bricks.

I now just hope that as long as people keep playing the game, the game will find a way to sustain itself.

The UK FW site still has TH Transporters listed as in stock. I don't know if the postage to Aus is excessive but thought I'd let you know.

Indeed. I am still fighting the urge to call them and find out whether I still can buy few more ork stuff... I'm torn on the Flakwagonz. They told me on the phone a couple of days ago that there were none and the buy now was a mistake from the website, but they're still listed as in stock...

Just go to the website and order. If there really are any left, you'll get some. I not, then you are no worse off

wow. I never thought I'd see the day that this monstrous thing would be sold out. I was certain that when SG was nothing but tumbleweeds, this will still be available :)

In a perfectly rational and reasonably aesthetically gifted world, you would be correct. My bets are on this one too. At least for WEs and vehicles.

If I may be a voice of (perhaps) reason:

Back a couple years ago, GW released the the "Eye of Terror" codex, and invited players around the world to play 40k games and report the results online, as this would result in a major shift and change in the 40k universe. Lots of EoT books were sold, lots of new models were bought, and lots of games were played and reported, and in the end it changed.....nothing. It was all absolutely nothing more than marketing by GW to sell the new codex and make everyone buy new models.

I'm sure at the GW HQ they see stats that Epic (and other specialist games) sell, but nowhere near the numbers of Warhammer and 40k. I'm seeing different reports around the world of some people not being able to get some things, that others still can.

Does anyone think this could all be a short-term ploy by GW to make players panic and buy up as much as they can as quickly as they can, to boost sales on these games?

Not really. When Finecast came out they already said that metal models would be available until they ran out of material to cast them with, or something along those lines.
