Hey community, My Titan Legion is nearly completed, als well as my Space Marines. As responsible minded hobbyist I am currently looking out for interesting new projects. Last Weekend I read Epic Raiders ans saw all the plastic conversions for Dark Eldar Infantery. The Dark Eldar were my first Army in 40k and as I don´t like playing 40k anymore, I would like to field them in Epic. After a short look through the units, I recognized the Need for an easy conversion to reproduce similar looking vehicles and flyers. I had several half painted Hellions on my table here, so I started cutting off things, searching for a nice Raider look. here are the results and I would like to know if the Idea fits the style/background of the current Dark Eldar, or if u would improve sty. or even think the idea is crap. The benefits would be: + easy to reproduce + similar look if larger vehicles and flyers also get built out of current available Hellion and Reaver Jetbikes + The form is much more fluent, compared to anything I could scratch out of plasticcard or sty. else. Add some plastic Eldar Guardians and there will be also a crew for these vehicles. What do you think? Attachment: Attachment: Attachment:

Seems somewhat small, but I like it. Would certainly make a good Venom. Have you looked at the conversions the 40K-at-epic-scale guys have been doing? This is a good example. |

I am currently working on some detail, like fin, thrusters etc. I will upload the pic soon, but perhaps I need to add some kind of prow - let´s see. The size: Hm, its actually even larger than the SM Rhino and I would add several converted Eldar Vipers as Venom to the Army... |

If you're not in a hurry, then you can wait a few months for Onslaught to release these guys I like your vehicles, but I'd suggest a few more spikes and generally evil looking bits. This is how I made my Dark Eldar vehicles btw. Yours seem a lot easier to make. Mine takes some time because it's rather fiddly. |

They look great, but they will be cast in pewter, won´t they?! Your Raider looks nice too, but would be too expensive for me buying all the flyers^^I already added some kind of prow to the model, also a fin. The work for my prototype should be done by tomorrow and I will upload a new pic. There will be a solution for converting these Skyboards, I just need to discover the perfect bitz etc. |

These may be good proxies. While never intended for 6mm scale use, they certainly look fantastic as DE pieces. I own them and can attest to their quality. http://www.freewebstore.org/Abomination ... 88954.aspx |
