Just to be clear : if I shoot to a broken SM formation (1 BM for being targeted) and I managed to kill one unit (another 1 BM for the lost unit), do the formation lost a unit (2 BM on a SM broken formation) ? |

Yes the formation would loose an extra unit, but just 1 and not 2 as would be the case for ordinary armies. Every 2 BM's produce a lost unit (rounded down). cheers |
