It's all in the thread title! Confusion comes from the fact that MW doesn't care about any difference between AP or AT targets outside of barrage... 4+ use has some good unit arguments too: - Makes the Cobra useful. - Makes the Soopa Gunz useful But there are arguments against it too (hear me, decimator?). So what shall it be in the ONERCRRK (Offical NetERC Realm of Rules Keeping)?

Don't take this as gospel. However, I would suggest that you use both. The existing barrage table uses the target type to determine the score needed to get a hit (AP4+ and AT5+). All you need to do is to treat any hits as MW hits. |

What Ginger said. Once upon a time we tested it where MW barrage used the AP column for everything but that was too good. |

What are you using Iron Duke? The old Epic Compendiums (Markconz and Hojyn) might have those trial rules in there. |

Hi, I use the epicarmageddonhandbook2008 pdf. It says under 1.9.8 Barrages "The Barrage table lists the hit roll required to hit each unit under the Barrage template. Macro-weapons (see 2.2.6) always use the AP to hit roll value when firing on any type of unit. Roll to hit all units (friend or foe) under the template with the appropriate to hit values. In order to speed dice rolling we recommend rolling to hit all units of exactly the same type together, and then removing any casualties from those closest to the enemy first." |

Yeah, those are the old experimental rules, not the official ones. |

My question is do OBs get modifiers to hit for cover etc? If so, 4+MW across the board isn't that great. If not, I've been playing them wrong

MW BPs do not ignore cover modifiers by default, no. |
