Hi all.

Very new to the boards and very green with Epic - in fact never played a game and I'm currently plodding through the rulebook. I'm currently assembling a 2000pt (ish) pre-heresy space wolves army (complete with Russ, Frecki and Geri). I've been an avid 40K fan since I was 12 (many a dark moon ago) and currently on my table are many 40K scale re-imaginings of old epic units - so me learning epic and playing with mahoosiv armies sounded like too good a thing not to try.

Welcome to the forum :) EpicA's my favourite wargame and I'm sure you'll like it.

I l love the knights! I assume they`resome kind of fan cast? You might like to check out some of the cool stuff people here make. 2000pts is really a bit small mind - the standard epic game size (played at 95% of tournaments) is 3000pts.

I saw your doomwing at OW & thought it was pretty groovy :), recklon you'll make an excellent looking epic army that you should bring along to an event as soon as it's done :)

Thanks for the kind words. The knights are a mix between fw, gw parts and scratch built stuff from plastic tube and putty. I'm aiming for a household of around 10 knights for house Hawkwood then perhaps a second lot of 10 for a different household. Still have a warden and 2 lancers to make before house Hawkwood is complete.
The doomwing was a prototype just kinda mashed parts together as I went however the plan is now to make another and the larger fire lord (as soon as I get the time) currently working on a Titan legion too, a reaver and 3 warhoubds to start with hopefully another 2 reavers added at some point along with a couple more warhounds.

As I have both thousand sons and space wolves pre-heresy 40k armies I may well head in that direction for epic too.

I'll have to look at my lists pretty sure I can get to 3000 points fairly easily :-)

Ah. I thought these were epic scale (since this is a topic in an epic forum). They are beautiful!
