Hello All

What exactly is the rule regarding splitting weapons between different targets within the target formation when shooting.

Taking a warhound pack. Can one warhound fire 4xAT3 at infantry and the other warhound fire 4xAT5 at armour in the target formation or do all shots have to go on infantry/armour?

you can split the shots by type as you describe.

To clarify further, should you have a stand of Devastators, you could shoot 4 shots AT and 4 AP, and in fact 5 AT and 3 AP if you choose since each Dev has 2 weapons?

With a warlord, shooting the 2xTurbo-Laser Destructors one must shoot all 4 shots of the weapon at the same target, so just considering the Turbo-Laser Destructors one could shoot 4xAT and 4xAP.

Correct on both counts.

The choice is made by weapon. If you have one weapon with multiple shots, all shots have to be the same choice. If you have multiple weapons with one shot each, then each of the weapons can choose individually.

In the case of the warhounds, you have 2 weapons at 4x each. You could fire 8AT (4+4), 8AP, or 4AP/4AT. You could not choose to split it 6AP/2AT.

The same applies to any other targeting choices, like whether to fire AT weapons at a war engine.
