Hi all Is there any limit on the number of infantry units that can be placed in base contact with a vehicle for cover purposes? Also, mounted infantry, such as bikes - can they get cover from a vehicle? Thanks |

The limit is two bases per vehicle, or two per DC if the vehicle is a WE. Mounted infantry cannot get cover from a vehicle IIRC. |

SG is correct on all points in respect of infantry being shot at. To expand on this, infantry can also claim cover from enemy vehicles when being shot at (eg when under OW fire in an assault), though you might want to add this to the 5 min warm up. |

Technically, there is no limit. However, pretty much the entire world plays with a 2-per-vehicle/DC limit. Quote: Also, mounted infantry, such as bikes - can they get cover from a vehicle? No. Mounted units treat terrain (and therefor cover) as if they were vehicles instead of infantry. |

It can be argued though that infantry can get the -1 concealment mod for being in contact with mounted units, because they count as vehicles for terrain effects. I've never tried that one before though. ![]() |

LVs and mounted infantry don't count*. *And yes, that means Feral Orks can't use Squiggoths as cover. I guess they are too worried about being stepped on. |
