Hello All I wonder if you can clarify the issue of cover/to hit modifiers etc in an assault. I think I saw somewhere something about the FF or CC values never get modified in an assault? Also someone said that a formation that is being assaulted while in cover gets the terrain cover save if they wish, but the assaulting formation does not? What happens when the assault goes into the second round where both the assaulter and assaulted are in cover. Does anyone get the benefit of cover saves in this instance? Thanks |

I can confidently state that both of your first points are correct. I BELIEVE that if second round continues then the defenders only still get cover saves. Wait for someone with more authority than me though! |

Ginger and MoK are correct, except that if you had a defending vehicle in a position to get a cover save, like a gun emplacement, it would receive its cover save. |

Thanks guys. Regarding the to-hit modifier (or no modifier ever on assault)... recently I played a game where my opponent had some harlequins and there was a single harlequin which apparently always gets a -1 to hit modifier. Would this modifier only be applicable to being shot at and not assault. We played the to hit was modified. cheers cheers |
