Hello All When countercharging one has to countercharge the nearest enemy. What if that nearest enemy has already been saturated in base contact (ie. has 2xDC units in base contact)? Does one then counter charge the next nearest 'unsaturated' enemy? If so, assuming the first enemy is in fact a WE or a vehick and is directly in between the next nearest enemy and the conter-charging unit, can the counter charging unit go round the intervening unit/WE? Thanks |

Yes, the same applies for going around dangerous/impassable terrain. Remember the WE must have a # of units in BtB with it equal to its starting DC for you to ignore it for counter-charges. |

Actually, it keeps its ZoC until it has units in base contact equal to DC. It's not "saturated" until it has 2xDC units in base contact. |

Whoops, yes. The appropriate FAQ: Q: If the closest enemy unit is already engaged (it has two units in base-to-base contact with it) do I still need to Counter-charge that unit or can I Counter-charge another enemy unit? A: If the closest enemy is already fully engaged, you may carry on the counter charge and try to contact the next closest enemy unit. |
