Hey people

I was convinced scouts dismounted 10cm from their transport but I cannot find anything that says that. The scouts section only talks about distance between formations and ZoC.

We are playing Epic rules if that means anything.

Cheers

Dismount is always 5cm. The only time it's different is when Jump Pack troops dismount out of a flyer that's landed, then it's 15cm.

Thanks Hybrid.

That is pretty conclusive :)

Unfortunate though as I am just about to dismount my scouts

Don't forget that there are a number of different moves alongside the 'normal' move that is defined against each unit; counter-charge, consolidate and withdrawal are all counted as movement, so for example some scouts that are engaged in FF by an enemy trying to catch them off-guard inside their Rhinos could be in for a shock: The Rhinos can countercharge 10cm, and then the scouts dismount a further 5cm putting them into B-B with the enemy and 4+CC rather than 5+FF.
