Hi all,

My Battle for Armageddon Boardgame-based Campaign fan supplement is available here for playtesting and initial feedback:

This BFA-based campaign system allows Epic games to replace the abstracted battles between counter "stacks" in the boardgame. It also allows for occasional small skirmish WH40K games ("strike opporunities") that proceed the Epic battle, serving to modify the Epic battle that follows in some meaningful way.

If anyone here either has BFA or has the motivation to download it and make your own copy, it would help me a lot if you would play a game or two of BFA using the campaign rules, and then send me your feedback. For those interested in downloading it, there's a Zip with everything you need, including the board fixed by Rastamann and the Chaos Attacks expansion, available here: https://sites.google.com/site/sydneyepic/dashboard/resources

As this is my first attempt at such a supplement, I am open to any and all feedback you may have. Thanks in advance. :)

ABOUT THIS FAN SUPPLEMENT
I've been working on this fan supplement off-and-on since 2008. At one time, it was a massive tome weighing in at more than 200 pages (that version, which I've kept as a separate branch, is a hex-based map campaign system that does not require Battle for Armageddon), but it more recently morphed into a less ambitious system that leverages the excellent Battle for Armageddon boardgame.

Looks very promising, I just started to read ... that's how I always imagined a proper epic campaign, using the armageddon boardgame rules. I never had a chance to play the original game (let alone having the game myself) but fell in love with the rules reading some old english WD battle reports.

I bought a copy online, but the downloadable version linked above is very playable.

Just remember to print the map on A3 (or whatever your local "double standard page size" is called) and the counters on A4 (or US Letter or whatever your standard page size is) and to have a can of adhesive spray handy to glue them onto some card, and then it's just a matter of cutting along the dotted lines. :)

I do have a hex-based campaign system in development, too, that should work pretty well with any hex map, but that's on hold for now. It's mostly the same campaign rules, but with differences around movement, zones of control and other things. It's more advanced that this one, but also more complicated; the campaign could overshadow the Epic games, which is the opposite of what you want.

and it's not printer selection on your machine? That lame-as microsoft document image writer was put there just to annoy the hell out of people who forget to set up the network printer, imo...
