I know that the old templates from Space Marine are only 6cm diameter instead of the 7.4cm of the universal small blast template GW uses these days, but does anyone use the old barrage templates anyway? I am thinking that if all barrage weapons use them, then the playing field remains level, unless the the 14mm size difference excessively affects barrage firing units? It seems a shame to simply dump those nice printed templates, not to mention the nostalgic value. |

The newer template results in about a 50% increase in areal coverage (~172cm^2 vs. ~113cm^2), but if both players agree, there's no reason not to. |
