If a TK(D3) weapon fires at a formation of leman russes and hits, does it kill 1 russ or D3 russes? |

Quote: Some weapons are noted as being Titan Killers. Enemy units hit by such weapons may not take a cover or armour save, even if they have reinforced armour. In addition, further special rules apply if the target unit is a war engine (see 3.0). In all other ways, Titan killers are treated as macro-weapons The bold section is where it deals with the multiple damage. So not relevant for non-War Engines. Morgan Vening |

Shoot a transport vehicle instead and any transported troops are auto dead unless they have an INV save. This helps to build up the 'kill-count' to justify the weapons expenditure if the opponent has no War Engines. Then your only problem is convincing the opponent he wants to keep his troops in the transports ![]() |

Best target: Krieg Gorgon. A no void shield War Engine with capacity of 10 troops. In one of my first games I had my supreme commander in the one that got hit, that was an expensive lesson ![]() Quote: Then your only problem is convincing the opponent he wants to keep his troops in the transports ![]() That's a whole seperate discussion that is worth having, Frogbear. When do you keep your troops in transports? Only when you thnk you need the extra assault range in their next turn, or are there other justifications? Do you keep them in transports against an opponent with massed AP weapons and low AT, or against a large volume of blast template artillery? |

Depends. If it is 8 formations of Khorne Berzerkers (64 units in all) in Rhinos that have to get from my table edge to yours, I do not think that a TK weapon or a mass of AP weaponry is going to make me think that a 90cm move is not warranted ![]() It all depends on the opponent, army composition, and meta-game. Usually however, other than for assaults, jumping them out to claim cover from the vehicles or terrain is the way to go. |
