Can a skimmer undertake an action where they literally move (advance, double, engage), move to behind an obstacle, but because they are skimmers, state that they are higher than th obstacle, shoot and then "pop" down behind the obstacle? My understanding of the rules is: 1. "Pop up" is a form of movement. This is backed up by the fact that they can no longer "pop up" on a sustained fire action. 2. "Pop up" occurs at the start of a movement action, so that counts as their movement, going vertically rather than horizontally. Thank you, in advance, for your time and consideration. SgtBalicki |

If you double a formation of skimmers they can pop-up at the start, mover horizontally twice, shoot with the ability to avoid certain terrain, then pop-down. The pop up does not use any of the units move distance. One exception is that skimmers can pop up on an overwatch order, and remain poped up until they take their shot. |

Wow. That makes skimmers very, very powerful. IG better invest in plenty of artillery and aircraft. lol |

You already have plenty of artillery and aircraft. 5 flights of fighters and 4 wings of bombers are enough... |

You are playing the amended version of pop-up where terrrain can block line of sight? No sub-orbital all seeing pop-up in epic any more. |

Yeah, we play where the closest one to the terrain gets the bonus. |

*COUGH* Ahem. Sir Lsrwolf, that is three flights of Maruaders. Thank you very much. I know the Eldar are a timid race by nature and by this point anything flying through the skies must seem to be a "Marauder bomber", but I hardly think the carrion birds you see circling around your dead Swooping Hawks count. |
