Any good ideas for safely transporting Epic models? I've been looking at the Kaiser Rushforth foam, but I'd appreciate any clever tricks/good leads for alternatives. |

Magnetize the bases and use whatever. I line my army transport trays with magnetic sheeting and use that. A metal tool box would work just as well too. |

Not an alternative view, but I ended up going with KR as well, with 6mm trays for the most part with a pick'n'pluck for SHTs, defiler sized daemon engines etc. Ended up going for the cheap cardboard case, despite my reservations but its actually really robust. KR multicase with epic: ![]() |

I've been using KR cardboard cases for a few years now. I've found the D series Pick & Pluck are very useful. Cheers. |

I bought a Battlefoam 432 case. I can pretty much fit 4-5 armies in it. I just trimmed the trays to go in vertically instead of sideways. I get about 42 strip bases in a 1" tray. |

I use this: http://www.feldherr.net/uk/?SID=2cf70eb ... m_store=de Not the cheapest but good quality. I use the foam trays with raster so that i can plug holes in any size for the models. |

Fantastic – and quite a lot of food for thought! I reckon I'll be running with some new trays for my KR case. Does anyone have any experience of the 610 series trays? They're designed for 6mm and 10mm models, so the obvious one to go for is the smaller 6mm ones; but I wonder if it might be safer to go for the 10mm... ![]() |

Keep in mind that a lot of the GW epic range is larger than 6mm, i find a few figure types don't fit in the 10mm 610 trays, such as rough riders and the current plastic plague bearers (so i have these in an old GW case currently). Khorne berserkers fit in the 10mm but i often find that their chain swords get stuck in the layer above, so that when i pull the tray above them out, they got with it attacked to the undeside ![]() |
