I wonder what the Orks will use to build their Gargants on an Agri-world? Algae? Only solution i see would be that they crash-land their Space Hulk and use it as ressource

With Siege done, I've had two ideas about the next supplement project I want to work on. #1 - The Fall of Gryphonne IV. This would chart the history of the Tyranid attack on the Ad-Mech Forgeworld of Gryphonne IV, based on the official background snippet. Involved forces would be: - Tyranid list - Genestealer Cult list - AMTL list (War Gryphonnes Titan Legion) - Skitarii list - Knightworld list #2 - The invasion of Achill-Quag This would chart the history of an Ork invasion of a planet the Ad-Mech uses as an agri-world, entirely dedicated to producing a nutrient gruel that sustains 20% of Accatran Forgeworld's Servitors. The planet is largely composed of fertile algae swamps, as the Ad-Mech have levelled off mountains and filled seas in order to dedicate as much area as possible to growing nutrients. The Orks have come to steal technology from the Ad-Mech facilities in order to build Gargants for their Waaaagh! Knights and Skitarii are stationed on the planet in "peactime", and in response to the Ork attack, Accatran Forgeworld sends the Titan Legion Legio Destructor (In the background, the biggest Titan Legion with 100+ Titans, known as the Steel Beasts) to combat the Orks. The resulting war takes 3-4 years before it is settled, and by the end also invoves a couple of IG Regiments, and a Gargant Bigmob that the Orks have built on the planet. This idea is not based on any existing piece of background. Involved forces would be: - Orks (A generic waaaagh list) - Ork Speed Freaks list - Ork Gargant Bigmob list - Ork variant list(s) such as Blood Axes, Deathskulls. - Sun-Tzork's Grotling Horde!!!!!!1! - AMTL (Using War Gryphonnes list but now renamed to Steel Beasts) - Skitarii - Knightworld list - Atillan Rough Riders IG list (Good counterpoint to the Ork Speed Freaks) ============ I'm largely tending towards chosing idea #2, as the Tyranid list will likely not be finished for some time, and from my discussions with Chroma he'd prefer the Tyranids to appear in a supplement where they don't share equal billing with another "star" list (The AMTL). Also, #2 gives me/us scope to work with a story that doesn't have a pre-set end... Thoughts, fellas? |

Processing factories, thousands of giant (Ordinatus-sized) Algae Harvesters, a few small hab spires with a mere 5 million workers in each, a couple of spaceports (likely with some grounded space ships caught planetside when the Orks invaded). Plenty of resources for the Orks to turn into Gargants and war machines. |

I think a lot of fun could be had with an Ork equivalent to the Knight list. Various types of Stompas running around with Boar/Wildboyz and what not. #2 |

My idea for the generic Ork warband list was to introduce some of the units seen in the modern background. So you'd have mega dreads, and those DC4 Stompas from 40k (Less powerful than Supa-Stompas, with no shields, but with a transport capacity of 4 Ork units +2 grot units). So a certain ammount of stompyness. However that list wouldn't have any Gargants, both for balance and because fluffwise the Gargant Bigmob on the planet would have all of the Gargants. |

Perhaps something between the Speed Freaks and OGBM lists? Heavy on the armour and stompy stuff, lotsa battle/gunwagons/forts and such? |

If people would like to see an Ork/Knight list I can run with it. Whether E&C would want to include it is up to him, but I think it would be a hoot anyway to see it irregardless of that. |

If such support was put behind it I could swing him from 90% FoW/10% Epic to the opposite. |
