I'll be trying out a Strike Cruiser and drop pod assault tonight ![]() I have one question about scatter, though. The rules say 2d6 cm to a random direction and that's all cool. However, since naturally I'll be using GW Scatter dice and they have those pesky "hit" marks on them (granted, with small arrows too), I'm kinda wondering if you should be supposed to leave the unit in place if you rolled a hit. |

It just feels a bit silly to me that the unit will never actually land on the spot you're allegedly trying to drop it on ![]() |

Houserule it. Re-roll any 'Hits': if the re-roll gives you an arrow, use that but only scatter D6cm, if you get a second hit, take that to be spot on. Myself and my normal opponent are so prone to doing this sort of "I don't really like this rule - let's tweak it" stuff that we're never going to able to play against normal people. ![]() Edit: Of course, this needs your opponent to agree that never being on target is silly. |

I was thinking of that, but it's not really a big deal, and I'd like to play by the book as much as possible (so that when I hopefully happen to play with any foreigners, I wouldn't have to adjust a whole lot). We'll see how it works in practice. |
