| Post subject: | Point Size VS Table Size? |
Hi everybody. I'm starting to get some people into epic in my home town. Starting off with 1000pt games and going up to 2000pt this weekend. Now seeing that i learned epic from this forum i've never been taught what size table i should use compared to the point size of the game. Would i use 4foot by 4foot table for 1000/2000pts? 4 X 6? 4 X 8? How much for 3000 up to 5000? Cheers. |

We play everything (up to about 3.5k - 4k points) on a 6x4 table no matter what wargame we are playing (Epic, 40k, Full Thrust, etc). If space is an issue, then you go with what you can. You just want to make sure that you have sufficient space to allow for flanking maneuvours and the like. a 4x4 table may be fine for 1000 point games however. 2000 points should go to a 6x4 table. Anything hitting the 5k and above points values per side, we usually go for bigger tables (8x4 or even 12x4) Hope this helps Cheers.... |
