Huh. Was playing and this question came up.

Why did stormtroopers get nerfed so bad in the handbook? They lost 5cm of movement and infiltrator.

Er... Stormtroopers haven't had any changes done to them, not in the 2008 Errata nor in the Handbook.

They've always been 15cm move and never had infilrator, just scouts.

Are you mixing up the stats of Rough Riders and Storm Troopers?

Looks like the server crapped out. You get the win, Dav. Assuming neither of us rally, you'd win with 2050 victory points versus 1293.

After that soopagun blew up everything important in my regimental HQ, it was a serious uphill battle I wasn't able to recover from.

Why thank you Nicoch!

Now that was a game... and the first one my orks acted *almost* like I thought they would - that is, not really orkily at all, shooting down more than they chopped.
Everything would have been decided by the last few ralling rolls, anyway - it was that close!

I hope we'll be able to get a re-match soon!  :)

edit: and thanks for putting up with my non-rules-friendly n00biness!

Just double checked in case there was a typo in the 2008 Handbook, but no they are same stats as in the original rules.

This looks very cool, downloaded and had a look. If my timezone was different and I had a lack of players around I'd definitely be into giving it a whirl. Bit hard to justify at the moment though...  :))

Meanwhile, Lord I and Nicoch are doing an Ordo Xenos vs IG battle, IG has won initiative in Turn 1 and is lighting up the Ordo´s Black Citadel with Volcano Cannon fire!

My one- year old has gotten VERY interested in how the mouse seems to make thing happen on the computer screen --  hard to tear him away.
