Over the last 18 months or so, I have been collecting the occassional Squat troops from EBay, and now I have around 20 or 30 sprues of the little guys. So, now I am waiting for the army list. I know that there is at least one list being worked on in the Vault forum, but does anyone know when we will see a semi-official list in Fanatic mag, or even in the Vault? I thought that there was a rumour of a Squat list appearing early in Fanatic. The list being worked on in the forum looks to be good, and could be interesting, but I dont want to assemble anything until an official list is released. |

Many people are using Squats as IG proxies. I know that T5H was working on one and I beleive that Chern was working on one as well. Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak. |

Thanks. I am mostly after Imperial Squats, but if you have the Chaos Squats as spare, we can add them to our deal. Thanks. Maksim, I think that I have seen T5H version, is Cherns around somewhere? Will either of them be 'official' and how do they compare to the 'Vault forum' version? Thanks. |

From a gaming standpoint, I see no reason why you couldn't use the IG templates to organize your Squats ... |

Mechanicus maybe yes, after all the effort put into hunting down the information - maybe in this month even. Squats not, cause I know too little on them. Hell, I have not been around the 40k universe before they were chewed by the bugs... |

there isn't anything official about the squat, and i tend to think we wont see a list for them in the vault anytime soon. It's possible that a demiurd list appears on day, but it all depend, in fact, on the Wh40K team : they decide for major new background or changes. However, something like 6 month ago, Jervis asked for some propositions for squat lists; i don't know what he intended to do with it, but well, it may give some kind of hope for our short friends. As Jervis seem to consider important to give old players and armies something to use their mini with, it's quite possible we'll see a list after all. don't quite know. There are lists in the "fan list and rules section" in the playtester forum but i suppose you allready got them. Now, if you want to build your army, don't wait for the official list; basing conventions are pretty permisssive in E:A anyway (specially combined with the count as rule), i think you should base anything the way you think look best in any case. That's what i do with my minis, even for "official" lists. Athmos |

With the E:A rules there are most of the Squat models (Thud Guns, Rhinos, etc.), so it wouldn't take much as Athmos suggests to make an "as is" or "sub" list. The Squat Troops may move slower (short little legs !  ) ... Bikers, Trikes, Iron Eagles, etc. ... there should some thing that "=" this or that. An Iron Eagle could = a Vulture (?), etc., etc. ...
