I'm working on the Space Wolf lists and most of the ideas are already laid down (for example warbands instead of detachments, basically Infantry warband, armor warband and some specialist groups), I have problem with how to represent Stormcaller psychic power on Epic scale. Any ideas?

Cool!! Is this fan list or first draft for SG list?
Have you posted anywhere on line yet?

Would love to see how you have incorporated character of SW without too many special new rules.

Cheers

James

SM2 (I think) had a wee article on stormcaller (Njal) in a battle report book. I'll look it up and see how it was represented there.

Yep ! ?"J" is right, it is in the SM2 fluff in a W/D issue ... somewhere ... IIRC ???? ?Just checked W/D Index site ... all  the Epic data on SW Characters (Njal, Ragnar, etc.) is in W/D issue 158. ?Hope that helps. ? :)

It'd help a lot, thanks.

But what are your ideas for it in EA?

Insomniac, this is my fan list, but as Epic Index Astartes will go first to the Incoming! and then through Doug to JJ, it has a great deal of chance to influence the official one.

SW are the last list I need to do in order to complete the work - all other Loyalist and Traitor Chapters from the First Founding are in already on over 50 pages . :D

Cool

Does this mean that you have done one for the Iron Warriors??

Yep, IW too. Just go to my site and enter EA section then downloads, and download Epic Index Astartes.

Thanks for link- I followed it through and downloaded the file. When I tried to open the saved file though, Winzip would n't work.

I then tried opening the file directly rather than saving it + extracting it via Winzip. Did n't work then either.

Is there any chance you could e-mail me the Iron Warriors section? Either as text in e-mail or as Word attachment, whichever is easier.

I am dying to see what you have come up with for the sons of Perturabo!!

Cheers

James

Njal was a librarian who had a psyber raven and a psychic power that was basically the same as the Eldritch Storm of the Eldar.

Simple suggestions would be:

1) Psyber raven: gives +1 to action test for the formation he is with.

2) Wind blast: adds one blast marker to the target formation. Range 15cm just like the Smite.

To balance out Mr. Njal shouldn't have the "Smite" ability.

'E's good, 'e is! Very simple rules, but effective, and true to background. Great stuff, Mojarn.
I suppose that some day Tuffskull will be explaining which colours and inks he used to paint the psyber-raven's cyber-eye...seriously, any Epic-scale raven ideas? Anyone wanting vultures big enough to ride on can opt for Warmaster Carrion, but these can't perch on a 6mm scale shoulder. So, is it green stuff or equivalent?

Insomniac: I have some problems with my e-mail acc, and I cannot get your e-mail from the board. But try to get Total Commander/Windows Commander (any version) and use its internal ZIP interface. Should work.

Mojarn: Good idea. Anything for the actual Stormcaller psychic power, though?

Njal's psychic power was called the wind blast, his nickname was Stormcaller.

The original wording for the psychic power:

Wind Blast.Njal can project a whirlwind of psychic energy that can pin enemy units to the ground and make it impossible for them to move and shoot. The area affected by the wind blast is represented by the special wind blast template printed below. The template can be placed anywhere within 25cm of Njal instead of making one of the other psychic attacks listed in Armies of the Imperium. Any stand or vehicle under the template that does not have a saving throw is pinned by the wind blast and is not allowed to move or shoot. It also has its close assault factor reduced by -2. Units that do have a saving throw are too powerful to be effected by the wind blast, and so may move and attack normally. The wind blast template remains in place until the start of the combat phase  of the following turn and is then removed. Any stand or vehicle that would be affected by the wind blast may not move into or through the template while it is in play. Stands or vehicles trapped by the wind blast are given orders normally and are allowed to fire in the combat phase when the template is removed.

So basically, as it causes confusion in enemy ranks a blast marker is the way to go in E:A.

In original SM2 rules the psyber raven gave him the ability to cast his psychic powers without LOS, but IMO the action test bonus is more in line of him being "well aware of everything that is happening around him".

me being a noob placed this in the wrong place earlier, hence Im making a thread here where its more fitting.

Okay, me and a friend of mine are working on a game which will involve Knights vs Knights battles, however I have not been able to find any rules for Knights for the current edition of Epic.

However I dont want to get this website in any copyright troubles of IP problems, so if it is illegal to post these rules here, please let me know. However if it isnt or you people dont have problems with it, could you please post them here?

Thank you!

Hi. IP means that we cannot post any stats or any reference for GW products. However, these lists are freely available from the Specialist Games web site. I am not sure if they are currently around, with the move of web sites a few resources are not yet available, but you are looking for the AMTL (Adeptus Mechanicus Titan Legion) force list.

Good luck.
