Last night the Ork player brought out his new "Supa-Stomper." He used tracks for the "feet" and it looked really good. I have asked him to allow me to take a picture of it. Once he does I will post it for all of you to see.

I'm convinced that Orks have a magic power of some sort, since they get the wierdest things to work. Even with malfunctions, they produce spectacular results.

Go Orks!

One of my friends says that the Orks are most advanced race, but they are too dumb to realize that and thus they never get past the stage they are in. :p

I'd like to see a picture of that Tracked Gargant, if you get it.

The boys from Intell need to know! :blues: ?

I don't think Orks are smart... just sneaky... ?}:)

I'll second the motion to see yout friend's SupaStompa. I have several prototypes built myself.

Jimbo,

Have you built a SupaStompa yet?

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

Primarch,

Try walking with confining clothing that restricts the movement of your legs. Very difficult to walk, or get anywhere in an hurry.

Women seem to do just fine! :D

So did medieval knights for that matter!

Besides the space that "leg gears" would use would also take away from room for the boiler, engine room, ammo depot and the whole host of other things in the hull.

The Orky solution, of course, is to just build bigger so they'll be enough room for everything!

I'm convinced that Orks have a magic power of some sort, since they get the wierdest things to work. Even with malfunctions, they produce spectacular results.

I agree about the magic part. It's part of their charm.

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

I hate being away, you always miss the good topics!!!!

The way I would like to see Gargants would be with caterpillar track for propulsion. At least on the Gargant and above sizes. I think that tracks would be a far simpler feat to accomplish, and I always envision Orks as taking the easy route.

For the guns, I would like the Belly Gun style, and would think that they would try to cram more into the bodies. A bit like the MegaGargant, but not so organised (three perfect rows, all the same) and more random.

For the weapons, I suppose it depend upon the gaming system. If weapons aren't really being given much diversity, then there's not much you can do other than give them unique names.

Hi!

While the Mega-Gargant model may not be favorite, at least it seems reasonable the way it's built. Tracks for mobility and many gun decks, I thought that was a good idea on the modeler's part. It even has some access ramps in back of the model.

Primarch.

After much talk and a quite a few teeth changing hands the Great Warlord 'Ommy has allowed me to post a few pictures of his Supa-Stompa.

He said it was not done yet, no paint or arms, but he allowed me access anyway.

So here it is:

Dafrca,

The Supa-Stompa looks great!

What bitz did he use?

I recognize:

- Plastic Battlewagons turret
- Plastic Battlewagons chassis
- Plastic Stompa body
- Plastic Battlewagons claws

- What is the metal backpack from?

- How about the metal piece between the tracks and the Stompa body?

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

The "backpack is an arm from a WH40k Dread and the other metal part is from the waist of a dread. He had the metal in his bitz box.

As for pictures of the final painted version, ?I will try.

Everyone,

I'm having the same problem as Dafrca's friend.

How do I come up with good arms for the Gargantz?

Weapons aren't a problem, but to come up with a good arm is much more difficult.

I'm expecially looking for some kind of a good piece to make shoulder joints out of so I can make interchangeable and removable arms with magnets.

Any ideas for how to make good shoulders?

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.
