Hi all, I'm making the presumptious suggestion that new Epic stuff sighted on the pic of the day corner on the Specialist Games website are indicated here for all and sundry. And to start things off - there's the new Eldar Avatar up, as green as an Ork as yet, but looking quite nice.

Looking very nice. I think I'll finally replace my SM2 era "jumping jack" style Avatar. I do wish they would put some form of scale marker on these pics though, even if they are only prototypes. |

Now that is finally an Avatar that I like! Fantastic, and I will certainly get one of those, although I may change the Spear for a Sword or double-handed hammer. |

It does look to be a nice sculpt. I am certainly looking forward to getting my hands on a couple with the next painting batch for the studio   As for scale, I believe the little disc at the Avatar's feet is a standard infantry base. The large base he is on appears to be a deafult scenic base - if you look it has a number of slots available for mounting infantry. That would put him on a scale comprabale to the original model as was planned. |

Looks good ... I just hope all the Epic we saw on S/G is separate from the bases. I like the bases, but don't like one piece models ... for a number of reasons. |

No, and I dont mean that they will be available either, but just looking at the base the Avatar ison, it appears that it is made for other infantry to fit onto. Its a factor I've noticed in a number of greens - Mark gives himself space to add other characters to a base, whether its just for his personal interest or for some deeper reason only time will tell! |

tuffskull, remember the Avatar is used with his court of Exarchs - the space on the base must be meant for them.

D'OH! I wrote the above message, left the forum & then remembered the court of the young King. Came back to edit my messege, but it seems I've already been caught out Yeah, I change my guess to being spaces left for the CotYK.
