I have been thinking about this for awhile and kept meaning to raise the dead, thread I mean. =)
Though the issue hasn't come up in a game yet, I'm a bit confused about Suppression and Flak Attacks. I have always assumed that unless the entire formation was suppressed/broken a single AA attack could be made no matter the blast markers. It hard to think of choosing a front to back when a enemy crosses over multiple sides of you. As flak attacks are free anyways I would assume the AA unit would just ignore regular suppression rules. I mean the case could be made that at sometime during its movement that the suppression pattern of the formation would change allowing the AA unit to fire.
Thoughts? I'm might be crazy and confused....
AA suppression is always a bit confusing because 'non-AA' units can soak up suppression BMs if they are within range of the target, even though they cannot actually fire on the enemy A/c. So, if the A/c passes within 45cms of a marine formation with a Hunter and BMS, the other marines can be suppressed potentially allowing the Hunter to fire.
However as E&C says, normal suppression rules apply so it can never fire if broken, and may be suppressed under other circumstances.
