yup, part of the Inquisitor set being developed by Lord Inquisitor, now currently in limbo.

check out the saranes expanse crusade list too, i think that has an interesting mix of units off hand.

alternatively, write up a few army lists and bung them up in the tactics forum for dissection.

Maybe consider Speed Freaks or Feral Orks? Both have their own syles of play and are slightly more limited that the basic list. The orks do have a lot of options, but a lot of them often aren't used and once you get familiar with the list it's fine.

Once you realize that most upgrades in EA are chaff, the Ork list gets a lot less overwhelming :-/

Big and 'Uge formations are worth it, other than that it's mostly transports and oddboys, maybe the odd flakwagon for air cover.

I have to say I am drawn to Lord inquisitors lists aswell as Zombocoms Sisters of battle list. Although I would be interested to hear more on their balance. Is there an Alpha legion list?

both are under development and will, eventually, be brought into line with each other re statistics

Nothing has really happened on either for a while now - I'd guess that they're maybe 70% done (that is close enough to balanced to play with, not quite ready for tournament abuse and with a reasonable amount of change foreseeable in terms of formations as well as point tweaks.)

I have seen an alpha legion list somewhere, although I might be thinking of the alpha legion Special character from the 30k Marines Mega-list.
