So, my fianc? is out of town for a week, so it's just me and the cats... fortunately they stay at her place, so I've gotten back into the scenery kick.

Pipboy introduced me to resin casting a while back, I made some masters of some stuff I thought was cool, he made some molds, handed them off to me, and I took the plunge and mixed up a couple of batches!

Here's what I've been working on!

Fortifications and defence lines:

I didn't like the Forge World bunker, so I made my own.  As well, I made up some new defence lines and entrenchments that are in 5cm and 10cm lengths, so a little more easy to use with Siegemasters getting 50cm of defences a pop.  I also put in some "end" pieces and some other angles.

They've been a lot of fun on the battlefield!

I've also been working on a way to make "city walls" for EPIC; I think this is turning out pretty well!

I made the sections so they could easily be cut into up to three parts and used as building walls or tower section or other stuff. ?I had a lot of fun designing them; thanks for pouring the molds for them Pipboy!

So, now that I've got these walls in process, we should *finally* be seeing the endgames of the "Red Queen Rising" campaign!

These are fantastic!!!
I love the defence lines and entrenchments.
Can you post a how to please. Not of how you cast them ( although that would also be great) but of how you made the originals.
I am actually stuned ( and green with envy ) by what you have done.

For my siegers I've made slightly different stuff - 'foxholes'.
Since I've read a 40k book 15 hours I liked the image of a central bunker to fall back to and fireteam foxhole/trench further up, each fireteam being seperate with no access tunnels to each. To that end I've done up a series of 5cm ones as that gives enough space for a base and the sandbags etc. Plus you get 10 out of 500mm which is handy :)

Looking nice.  I really should try that some time.  Making one thing really nice is so much less daunting then trying to build everything by scratch. (but the mold making and casting bit is kind of daunting anyway).

Very cool stuff.  I second a request for a how-to for the originals as well as one for the mold creation if Pipboy would be so kind.

That's for the kind words all!  I've had a great time doing this.

Now... people do realize I'm willing to cast these up and sell 'em right?  *laugh*  I'd love to be able to get a little revenue out of my hobby.  Like they say: do what you love.  *laugh*

So, feel free to email/PM me if you're interesting!

I'm hoping to set up a "transitional" layout starting with bombed out "outer buildings"/no-man's-land, then trenchworks, then a city wall, then a not so ruined area.

I'm working on gates and towers for the walls now, but they're still in the building phase. ?I'm hoping to use cut up sections of the wall parts to make them.
