Anyone have any ideas to unwarp resin terrain pieces?
Thanks

Soaking it in warm water should do it depending on the thickness and type of resin.

And by warm I mean uncomfortable to your hands but not boiling.

I use water from the 'Instant Hot' water faucet in the kitchen.  It's about 190*F at the tap.  I soaked the resin in water that hot for about 15 minutes.  You should still have to use tongs/tweezers to take the part out, then gently twist or bend the part until it's straight.  Then let the resin cool a bit., dry it off, and you can start working with it (paint/paint prep).

I hold the part I want bent in the column of steam coming from a boiling kettle.

The part is ready to bend in seconds.

Watch out though, I have seen people leave prints in the resin if they let it get to soft and put enough presure.

Also make sure it is fully pliable. I have also seen people snap off parts that were soft part of the way and still harder in the center.

Good points Daf ! ?As I have said before, the F/W resin is very nice for detail, but much too fragile for "hard" gaming. ?Not to mention, you have to wash it and base coat with enamel to get the water based paint to stick completely ... ?But ?we have no choice for Epic Tau, etc. !!! ?So I'll continue to buy ! ?:D The fool I am !

I did wash the resin Tau BFG models I have (same as metal models) and I used standard GW black undercoat spray (after that a coat of white), but I did not have problems with the water based paint to stick.

ForgeWorld recomend you use Car bodywork undercoat spray to undercoat their models... and that's what I normally use.

I find that GW spray paint falls off FW models sooner or later.

Anything from weeks to months.

It'll go from edges and sharp corners first.
