Hi,

I was in a fish store today and I saw all this scenery for in an aquarium. Could these things work as epic scenery?

The greek columns/pillars they had would work fantastic for 40k and Inquisitor imo.

I've used a lovely bridge meant for a aquarium for a while now.  If you can get it at the right scale it's well worth it.

I think it all depends on the item. I have used Plants, Rocks, and some of the ruins before. But I have also seen some that looked out of place on the table.

But as a general answer, yes I think it works.

I made a large number of "palm trees" from machine screws, pennies and aquarium plant foliage. I think I have about 30 of them and the most expensive part was the machine screws. Attached is a picture of some in the background.

Yeah, aquarium stuff works good, in both epic and necro, it all depends on the piece.  Kinda hit and miss :)

Hi!

Actually I have seen some of that type of stuff to be very suitable for epic terrain.

Its worth looking on ebay / in pet shops for reptile and snake stuff too. You'll often find bargain pieces designed to look like natural rock which look ten times better after a bit of painting. Water dishes with stepped slopes make great natural bunkers and resin hiding caves look great as cult hideouts etc.

I've picked up some really nice aquarium castles but you have to be a bit selective, geek that I am I always keep a rhino in my pocket (!) when I'm looking around pet shops to check scales. You get some funny looks but better that than find your seemingly perfect castle just looks wrong on the battlefield.

That's dedication for you...
