Hello
Many of you might use some sort of static grass applicators for making your bases. It often needs testing, what color to choose and how much of the base cover with grass.
Testing means you will have to sacrifise one or some bases for testing, but there are no miniatures there so you really dont know how the grass will look like on base with miniatures. Of course you can do some test bases with miniatures but I would rather keep precious minis out of testing.

Luckily I have found a solution (maybe somebody did it before me but I have never seen method like this)!

Instead of using glue us water! It really works! You can apply a little bit of water on the places where you want the grass to be and then use static grass applicator. After all this you can remove the grass by blowing it out, using an old brush or a stream of water so you can test different grass color!

Here I got some pictures:

Static grass applicator (I use Warpainter's Flockbox):

Done!

I also had a movie where I remove the grass but some sort of bug happened and it looks bad (colors arent nautral, they split into two images). I can give you a link if you really want to see me removing grass.

I hope it helps!
Cheers
Kuba
